Born on October 28, 1967 and raised in Torrance, California, Kristy Gazes has been exposed to the game of poker since 1986. She was already frequenting casinos during her teenage years, but it was only in 2003 when this female professional poker player decided to participate in poker tournaments seriously.
In 2003, Kristy Gazes experienced several successes in the world of poker. Aside from several money finishes, this female professional poker player also bagged the World Championship of Online Poker Omaha High Low Split title in that year.
Kristy Gazes further proved her stellar skills in playing poker in 2005 when she won first prize in the Full Tilt Poker Championship event that was conducted at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort and Country Club located in Paradise, Nevada. Among the poker giants that this female professional poker player defeated were Daniel Negreanu, Clonie Gowen, and Ted Forrest. The cash prize she took home amounted to US$250,000.
Kristy Gazes had several achievements in 2007 as well. This female professional poker player joined the Aussie Millions in that year wherein she reached the final table twice. The amount that she was able to take home totaled to US$230,000. In the same year, this female professional poker player also emerged successful with her participation in the World Poker Tour Season Six Ladies Invitational event. Such event was conducted by the World Poker Tour in August.
Other poker events that Kristy Gazes participated in included the Ultimate Poker Challenge and the Poker Royale Battle of the Sexes. Due to the notable achievements of this female professional poker player, she has also been invited to be a commentator of the Ultimate Poker Challenge.
Kristy Gazes attributes her success in the poker world to her style of playing. At poker tables, this female professional poker player displays an aggressive style of playing poker. Furthermore, she is known for her different kind of sense of humor. She is also fond of wearing different types of sunglasses while playing.
